The result of the noble dream of Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis – Banker, Singer, Social Activist and the First Lady of the State of Maharashtra, Divyaj Foundation’s endeavour is to reach out to the common citizens of the society, engage and empower them and add quality contribution thereby enabling a positive change in their quality of lives.
Divyaj Foundation is registered as an NGO with the Assistant Charity Commissioner Maharashtra State, Mumbai, with registration no. E 32775 (MUM) dated 15/12/2016.
Divyaj Foundation aims to develop facilities in the areas of Education, Finance, Medicine, Work-skills sets, Living Conditions encompassing Sanitation and Hygiene and Nutrition. These activities would extend to the marginalised sections of the society without any discrimination to location, caste, age or gender. To this regard, Divyaj Foundation has conducted many Wellness Programs & Medical Camps amongst other events for various sectors of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) including Safai Kamgars, employees of FilmCity, acid attack survivors in association with the Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW), undertrial jail inmates at Arthur Road Jail, school children from various schools to name a few of the many groups Divyaj has supported.
The Foundation is managed by a team of dedicated and committed trustees and advisors, who strongly subscribe to the cause of social justice and empowering various sections of the society through knowledge, assistance and creation of opportunities. Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis is one of the advisors to the trust. The Foundation believes in Equality, Sincerity, Honesty, Unbiased and total Transparency and has engraved these qualities in their administration. The Trustees, Advisors and the Management team are all committed to the same.

Mrs. Amruta Fadnavis is one of the advisors to the trust along with Adv. Shri. Sunil Manohar, Ex. Attorney General, Maharashtra. The first project of Divyaj Foundation was a Wellness Program for the safai kamgars employed by Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). The program included a medical camp followed by two day engagement on health and fitness, meditation, disease prevention, personality development, de-addiction and personal financial discipline.
Divyaj Foundation has also launched a two days wellness programme for the employees of Filmcity, Goregaon, Mumbai. The program included two days complete engrossment in health and wellness, diet and nutrition, yoga tips, food adulteration, meditation, anger management and financial discipline. This program was an achievement in itself. Maharashtra State Commission for Women (MSCW) and Divyaj Foundation have embarked on a special awareness programme – ‘Sakshama’ for the welfare and rehabilitation of the acid attack survivors of Maharashtra. The event was organised on 5th March 2017 at the National Sports Club of India – NSCI Dome, Mumbai. The event had the privileged presence of Shri. Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra as the Chief Guest.
Many other eminent personalities and dignitaries also attended the event. A Confidence Walk was organised to reinstate the confidence of the survivors and also send a strong message of social acceptance. The programme also helped to facilitate the financial stability of the victors by procuring jobs and funds for their immediate requirement. The event besides being well received, has influenced many other NGOs and eminent personalities to offer residences, assistance to these victors. Divyaj Foundation has further extended support to make these victors self reliant.

OTHER IDEAS IN PIPELINE
1. Conduct an extensive initiative to reduce malnutrition from villages starting from Palghar district. Setting up a mother-child care centre in Palghar to prevent premature and untimely deaths.
2. Reach out and undertake a massive financial literacy program across all the districts in Maharashtra.
3. Establish Divyaj virtual studios in rural areas to make learning simpler, interesting and cost effective by providing them with teaching from across the globe. For these ideas, the Foundation is in the process of identifying volunteers to assist them in this mammoth task. The Foundation is also speaking to numerous NGOs, to join hands and partner to further their objectives. The dreams are big and all kind of support is needed to make this dream a reality.
